Did Louisiana boom during the 1990 Kuwait spike in oil prices? No. The decade-long price rise of the 1970s drove the Louisiana economy, not the embargoes.

Yes I remember and was welding offshore during a later boom in the 70's. Service business is booming as we speak "in that thick cajun vernacular". It wasn't all that long ago that nobody wantedd the service stocks, buy when its bloody.
