Hi!!

RE: Actually, I think the concept is great. Whereas others claim the PC is dead, and want to bifurcate the pc features among other task specific appliances, I think DELL envisions the PC as the hub of all things computer controlled in the house....a fully "wired home", with pc controlled peripherals. For this, one would need a mighty strong PC, not a $399. e-machine.

Precisely! Actually Jerry Mahoney of the Austin Statesman wrote and told me that DELL was working on some really exciting concepts that impressed him ( for the home) ....Jerry by contract can't buy DELL (I've usually teased him about this :o)...) because he must write negative and positives if he is aware of them with regards to his coverage of DELL...He has covered DELL for quite sometime and recently John Pletz took over that assignment...I wonder if he asked to be transferred so he could BUY DELL... :o)
Seriously....You know my stance...I'm not betting against anything that DELL jumps into....They don't jump in the water until they know they can win the race....If they are producing a product or service as a long term and long time shareholder I am inclined to believe that this is an "OPPORTUNITY"....

Best, Kemble
