Hi Shaw - agree. IMHO, Metaframe will actually appeal to larger accounts than Tarantella, in way more than one.

That said, I am ducking out of the stock for the time being, while vols are indeed impressive, I fear of traps.

best, Bosco

Shaw- From your postings I'm under the impression you think the competition from SCOC is relatively new. But it's really not. As a long time CTXS follower, it's something that has been talked about quite extensively for about a year. As best I can remember, SCOC products have always been priced substantially below CTXS products.

BTW, Mark Templeton was asked directly about SCOC(and GOJO) competition in the CC. I posted what he said in my notes upstream.

Also keep in mind, with CTXS recent move into UNIX, it's really the other way around. SCOC has to be concerned about CTXS moving in on their territory, rather than vice/versa.

Anyway, all in the FWIW category. Just didn't want anyone to get the wrong overall impression about the somewhat competing Tarantella product. HTH. -MikeM(From Florida)

PS1 IMVHO it's GOJO that may be more of a worry to MetaFrame than SCOC.

PS2 Well it's not been a year(regarding Windows), it's been about a little over six months:

PS3 There are detailed postings on this thread, relating to SCOC "reverse engineering" Microsoft's TSE RDP kernel(RDP is competing technology to ICA). It's pretty interesting but goes to show how SCOC operates. And postings upstream also detail a lawsuit SCOC has, or plans to file(?). One that appears to be frivolus too. Again it's all upstream and may reflect the character of the SCOC organization.
