Am going from memory that about year ago IBM was leading a consortium of half dozen companies in a competing high-speed chip-to-chip data transfer technology that was purportedly cheaper, better than Rambus'. Anyone have recollection and/or reference. Thanks.

Thanks Blake - very interesting article. I shorted RMBS yesterday evening in the after-market at around 137 and covered this morning. But as I've learned of the details, (I admit I have not boned up on them much before this - mostly playing by the numbers), I find it astonishing that RMBS has locked up the entire spectrum of advanced memory interfaces. I went long on a small number of shares. Although I think the stock is highly charged and technically over bought, riding on the gravy train still looks possible. Next stop? What more good news can propel it up? Probably the late reports from the hind end looking "ANALysts".
