one wonders...i think your theories re. Bubba may not be too far off the mark. the last independent Fort Knox audit with randomly sampled assays and all was done in the late 50's i believe. there's no guarantee the gold is still all there, only treasury's word. otoh, gold is simply completely out of fashion as an investment...i guess that's the most pertinent fact regarding the low price. the manipulation issue is probably overblown by GATA.
