Perhaps the main web server is running IIS and just provides the background and hives the back end stuff off to a Sun machine (currently crashed) to provide the content.

Perhaps Paul will pipe up to tell us how, in his vending machine maintenance travels, he has been to the Sun datacentre too and can tell us exactly what their site is using (and then change his mind later) <g>

Sun.com switched to the UltraIIIs, Qwiksand. It's not quite as snappy, but it's rock steady reliable. 100% uptime so far, I heard. -JCJ <g>
