...appears a beginning trend reversal on qcom....

Today I thought I'd nibble at some profits by buying QCOM and QLGC and selling some July ITM CALLs..... can make my annualized 30% with the right issues.

As I was submitting the purchases, both issues took off, but I bought anyway. Decided not to sell the CALLs and will wait to see where this is going....nice to see them go up for a change.

teach-re: Q*

close above 70 likens probability of consolidation around 80 or so within the next month(barring any general/specific "bad" news)....

Appears so according to extrapolated range below.

ed .. regarding your qcom jan02/200 assignment:

- there is a saying that when you get assigned when you short a put, you are buying a stock nobody wants. this statement is usually pointed the risk of selling put.

the above is not always correct.

when you get assigned early usually indicates that the stock is close at the bottom, otherwise if it is still tanking why would one exercise the option instead of letting it ride?

I posted another reason for early assignment:

since you were assigned on that qcom put which has expiry 1 1/2 years away, I consider that the worst of QCOM has taken place.
