WL #3 and we did say to "Watch" it give it the test of 3 15 minute bars to see if a possible uptrend will set in. It never triggered but even if it had, it is really wise to put in stops, especially for stocks that are "earnings related".. TIBX, and TEK made a resounding high that stayed much of the day but VRTY moved up somewhat yesterday on a good earnings report but failed to do anything but sell off today.

Part of the morning trigger is to take into account possible moves back from opening highs and invariably some stocks move easily off morning gap ups, and/or morning highs.

It is even more imperative for entries to watch for 30 minute breathing space especially if you don't plan on using stop losses.

Hi Molly,

perceived negative news certainly stands no chance in this brutal market environment.

dunno the time of entry, but take a look at news prior to positioning.

very sorry it happened.

OT-Molly, we've all been there too, and it's frustrating. VRTY is a good company but a very volatile stock, and setting stop-loss orders immediately after you buy it is the only way to avoid a loss like this today. We have all learned the hard way! Look at the daily chart and follow it now, it has set higher lows since mid-April, hopefully it will continue its' trend...it also drops FAST when it drops.
Also, study TA from Jenna's site..invaluable.
Hang in there...
