Nice fashion show this morning. When the Bloomingdale's woman stated the "dress down Friday" suit cost $11,000, I almost choked on my Wheaties. Of course, Liz got her to correct herself to $1,100, still a rich sum for casual office wear.

What gives? Has CNBC formed a joint marketing arrangement with Winnebago? If Mark Haines starts endorsing them, we'll know that some serious money has changed hands. <g>

It's true that business coverage doesn't always have to be dead serious, and you can make a case that the Winnebago piece today added value by providing insight into the company's products. It's a little harder to discern what value was added by featuring Winnebago on the Squawk Box "trip" a couple of years back. A previous poster was right, parts of the CNBC day are in danger of turning into the Today show.

Jim S., Can you believe that Ted even discussed gold on the air with someone today? It's about time they became more "balanced" with their discussions. Hopefully, this "trend" will continue..... Yogi

But we have gotten away from doing it daily because it had often become a report that had little relevance to most viewers.

Good grief Ted! Just look at all the time CNBC wastes with "Hairforce One & "The Brain" in the morning, telling their stale jokes, talking about things that have little or nothing to do with the market or any stock, yet it goes on and on! With all of the time you guys waste on the air, I'm sure your bosses could make room for more commodity reporting if they wanted to. Just cut some of the time wasting "manure", and get down to business! Have a nice weekend with your wife after telling her to cook and clean for you in the Winnebago. :^) Yogi

Interesting slip of the tounge, Ted. "Positive territory" came out as "posi-tory."

So, if the indices are positive, but off their highs, will they be "sub-posi-tory?"

Ted, Speaking of the old FNN, I was pleasantly surprised last week to see Liebe Geft just as beautiful as ever almost twenty years after she indirectly caused me to become involved with the stock market and commodities being beamed into the republican convention standing there with the mayor of Los Angeles..... Did not know that she was now the director of a museum out there, the name of which now eludes me..... She would have been a great asset for CNBC! Yogi
