Something's up between Qualcomm and Nokia. No way they buy the company. Qualcomm is not going to relinquish its IP in the third generation.

Maybe Qualcomm's got a partnership planned with Nokia regarding the chip division. That would save Nokia's ass. At the same time it would acknowledge the validity and strength of CDMA. It would bolt Qualcomm along the lines of Rambus' bolt.

Moreover, any agreement with Nokia would stamp the third generation in cellular telephony as Qualcomm's zone of operations.
