I'm trying to find out what this means to the competition. I think the merger approval is positive and I'm hoping that's the primary message.

I would assume that the competition would be getting some of the share that JDSU/ETEK had first dibbs on. However, JDSU is expanding production at OCLI. I assume this is to make up for any potential shortfall in thin film coatings from the DOJ ruling. IMO, it is excellent news as DOJ did not require an OCLI divestiture. - peggylynn

I was wondering the same. Deferring to your expertise, I assume that ETEK's TFF production capacity eventually will be reduced to it's outside customers just to meet JDSU's needs, if so, would it's competitors such a SPLI benefit and do they become potential acquisition targets? Small float of 800k shares. What do you think of their product line, specifically thir raman filters?

Thanks in advance.
