Marci probably was dismissed after insulting Dave B. with her comments about his "meaty-handidness" at the annual meeting.

That wasn't Marci, that was some other local-yokel reporter whose name I forget. There! See? You diss Rambus and it's investors and 4 months later no one remembers your name.

Nonetheless, Marci "Bubbles" Burstiner probably had to decide between working for (The Register, wasn't it?) or keeping her day job.
