Dave--

"I'm even more shocked," said Sherry Garber, an analyst at Semico Research, Phoenix. "It's certainly good news for Rambus stock, as a lot of announcements have been...but I really hope that the DRAM industry doesn't capitulate to an [intellectual property] house."

Translation: I find it surreal that this ip house is going to extract > 10% of the profits from all future memory.

Translation: "I hope I get to keep my job after missing this call so badly." <G>

Translation: I live in a fantasy land where an analyst following ten companies could get fired based on one prediction. I also seem to be ignorant of the fact that the accuracy of Sheri's predictions on RDRAM penetration remain to be determined.

Don,
I hear that Rambus is charging more for royalties on DDR and SDRAM and less on RDRAM...for obvious reasons...

Is this true?
