pheilman> I suspect Sega may have forced Hitachi's decision to sign. Sega's Dreamcast sales in the US are the only bright spot for them.

I really doubt it, Hitachi is a HUGE Multisectored company in Japan and Sega is a toy maker. I really doubt it had any influence.

You really got to give a ton of credit to those laid-back wizards at Rambus and them lawyers..

The strangest thing IMHO is I have not seen ONE!!! insider buy of any size in the last few years????

Regards

Don

pheilman,

Will Rambus next go after nVidea and the other graphics chip designers for DDR controllers?

Last week, in the am conf call after the Toshiba agreement, Tate said that there were about 100 companies that they would be dealing with - one after the other as they don't have enough personnel to discuss Rambus patents and the offending products with 100 at once. They'll talk to the most important ones first.

One at a time is good for a bounce each time, I'd like to think. Maybe we can spread them out over the next six months. Say 3 deals/week. Maybe, just maybe, the market will really catch on.
