Today's Hitachi deal reminds me of the (hopefully soon to come) QCOM/Nokia deal!

Three years ago I attended QCOM shareholders's meeting, and by luck I had the chance to ask Dr IJ about the possibility of QCOM being bought. He said not interested, and there are measure that make it expensive to buy QCOM.

On the other hand, remember that Dr IJ started Linkabit and sold that to start QCOM. Although at some point he might consider leaving QCOM, I think his mission is not complete yet.
