With the Windows2000/SQLServer2000 combination already beating Sun/Oracle performance for thousands/millions less money, it will REALLY be something when 64-bit Windows/SQL solutions are available. Windows/SQL will scream on Intel." And do you have any knowledge of when that intel chip will be released??? Hey, I know some would laugh at "investing my way"...but, I viewed Michael's excitement as a real positive when he spoke about bandwidth at Harvard last year....His speeches concerning the future of the PC scares me....What we perceive today as norm will be antiques in a few short years...DELL's model will continue to win market share...And, the technology changes will almost force people and corporations into changes..."WILL BE ONLY WINNERS AND LOSERS"...."DELL is becoming the premier infrastructure company" Don Collis 6/2000... It's not in the dream stage...It is a reality that he is boldly stating...Michael telling us "MORE THAN ANY OTHER YEAR" by this time (mid second quarter) IMO is perhaps the single most bullish statement he has ever made... I bought more on these two statements of last week... No...Have no idea for the actual release date of Merced... Best, Kemble
