The significance of this contradiction can not be understated. It means that the Rambus view that SDRAM is not competitive with DRDRAM, is false for current top of the line microprocessors.

DRDRAM provides just as good performance, at only 150-300% of the price. Maybe the 1% royalty will level the playing field? ;^)

Interesting statement. It would be interesting to know the various fee's.

Do you mean above and beyond the approximate 1% royalty on SDRAM (Tate's comment in the on-line interview someone posted)?
