Why is this bad news? Wherever a TDMA/GSM system competes with CDMA its at a huge competitive disadvantage. What will they use for DATA? So far Edge and grps has not been very promising. I would have prefered Brazil adopt another CDMA network, but the trend, my old friend, in the end is CDMA AIR INTERFACE. Meanwhille NOk is secretly trying to buy chips in Korea to salvage their botched US strategy.
