? on SMTC short. I'm confused-- why would you short a company with the following characteristics:

1) just added to the S&P mid cap 400
2) a company in the same space (Burr Brown) was just taken out at a trailing PSR= 24, when SMTC currently trades at trailing PSR= 12. Consider also that SMTC(recent Q) has higher operating and net margins
than Burr Brown.
3) the entire analog group is trading at or near 52 week high.
4) IBD rates the electronic-semiconductor manufacturing group as #3 among 197 groups.
5) the analog industry is poised for an explosive new upgrade cycle.

Seems like there are much better qualified shorts out there , no? Could the keepers of the charts please educate the fundamentalist on why this is a good short? Inquiring minds want to know ;-)

thanks,
leeza rodriguez
