We all know that NOKIA has been working with IDCC and they believe they can come up with a CDMA phone without using Qcom essential CDMA patents.posters on The s&p 500 thread who are far more informed on technical issues have discussed this in depth and the consensus is that its BS.I also find it hard to believe that every one else who has licensing agreements with qcom could be that stupid if they could do it themselves. When companies like Lu,MOT,NT,ERIC who are all considered as leaders in infrastructure deployment decide to license from qcom,I believe the writing is on the wall.
In Nokia's case I think it is either gross miscalculations or mismanagement or patent infringement, which will not bode well down the line for NOK shareholders.
