Eric: <apologies if my cynicism is a bit strong this morning> I think your cynicism is well-placed. Companies that go bankrupt after duping investors out of billions of dollars, enriching some while fleecing others, deserve cynicism. MSFT was very successful (and developed bad habits), and this got it into some difficulty. But far better to be a big success than to belly-flop like AMZN and take your investors with you. A company going bankrupt is not not a good long-term investment -- at best it is a hype machine. Many on this thread saw through the hype and spoke up about it.

Nah, they can always just go to the old standby of anonymous offshore offerings to various drug cartels. There's a lot of money out there that neads to be cleaned!

Then again, drug lords don't like it when they lose money.. that last round of notes didnt make it to conversion, and if scamazon goes under before the principle is repayed.. Bezos might need to hire bodyguards. :)

(apologies if my cynicism is a bit strong this morning)

Eric,

An apology? You must be kidding! Let's see Bezos has a house on Lake Washington and the top floor of an apartment building in Manhatten. Others have already walked away from Amazon with 5-20 million dollars. Covey, an accountant, has milked something like $10 million out of Amazon. My account, who I believe to be very good, likely will never make that much money.

I know they are not embarassed buy Blodgett, Meeker and many others should be.
