Hi Dorril,
<<widely accepted" by whom?>
By the marketplace in the US. Customers are returning their NOKIA CDMA phones with complaints, and VOD, Sprint PCS are phasing them out due to quality problem. NOk is the most efficient, best phone manufacturing company in the world. But inventing the best telecom protocols is another matter. I happen to be very long on NOK. And i am encouraged right now to keep it longer, because they may just make it for the Christmas season in the US with this deal they struck.

Darrell,

<< "widely accepted" by whom? >>

By Verizon.

By most of the telecom analysts who discussed this issue a few weeks back.

Even Ed Snyder alluded to it this morning.

<< they have, probably, the most advanced manufacturing and design facility in the world in Finland according to those who have visited. how do you juxtapose your thinking with their design facilities? >>

Noone would disagree with "the most advanced manufacturing and design facility in the world in Finland".

Here we are talking about competency in CDMA.
