Tech help on heat load please. Can anyone tell me if they think there is validity in this approach to dealing with heat build-up? According to the company, AMD and Cypress are evaluating it. Also, one of the Cypress VPs is on their Board. biz.yahoo.com Max Planck Institute Study Confirms Superior Thermal Conductivity of Isotopically Pure Silicon GOLDEN, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 21, 2000--Isonics Corporation (OTCBB:ISON/ISONW) A new study by the Max Planck Institute of Germany has confirmed the higher thermal conductivity of isotopically pure silicon-28. In the June 19 issue of Solid State Communications, the authors reported the steady-state thermal conductivity of small diameter, silicon-28 single crystals and confirmed the 60% improvement in room temperature thermal conductivity and estimated that the improvement would persist to several hundred degrees. At lower temperatures, the thermal conductivity increased up to 600% higher than natural silicon and 2.5 times higher than natural diamond.
