Hi Alex: SDMA uses multiple antennas at the base station for beamforming purposes, allowing separation between users who are geographically separated. This type of technology has been used for more than 20 years for DOD applications. I know fairly well one of the original founders, Dick Roy, who used to be CTO but has left the company last year. He is a truly brilliant and charismatic person. Arraycomm has hired high visibility personnel during the last 2 years, including an MIT Professor, Mitchell Trott.
