In the future -- perhaps as long a time as the 22nd or 23rd Century -- the people of those times will look back on this society with more disdain than some do today when they look back on the Old West. Truly they will judge this society harshly -- and they must. For Americans embrace the illusion of being so advanced, but they are little more than primitives mouthing high ideals they do not live by, defending irrational beliefs, voting for visionless leaders, and so concerned that Big Brother provide for them that they are more than willing to barter away their diminishing rights for little more than the promise of a chicken in every pot. No wonder this society has become so sick.
