<<I do not see any relevance to your question.>> The relevence is that I took it as your implication that the system does not have the right to deny a life (as in the death penalty). Was that your purpose in mentioning the inaleinable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness? If so, does a criminal have the right to liberty? Or, to choose the path for his pursuit of happiness? Most of us would say no. The right to life can equally be forfitted by certain heinous crimes which society has no effective method of treatment. On the other hand if you feel strong about the right to life so that you would take this as a cause to battle for heinous criminals; I just wonder how you feel about the innocent lives of babies who haven't stuck a toe out yet?

I find it curious that many who advocate for legal abortions also advocate for eliminating the death penalty. I usually justify it in my own mind as being intrenched in political agenda. I could be wrong but I have a real strong gut feeling that I'm not on this one.

If you were not implying what I thought by the inalienable rights comment.....never mind.
