There was a good Frank Sinatra/Lee Remick movie in which an innocent man did the same thing because the guy wanted to be executed. I believe it was based on a true story.

Terrence,
You have stated my concerns and beliefs quite succinctly. Whereas I am not opposed philosophically to execution, I too consider one innocent person executed to be too many. And there are enough examples of people that have been on death row who have been found to have been wrongly condemned to indicate that there are flaws with the system currently in place.

When the State executes an innocent
person, the people who carry out that act are just as guilty, or more so than Richard
Speck.
