Very interesting Dan. This is definitely giving me pause. On the one hand I have no problems with the state executing murderers and rapists. On the other hand, I want to know that the system works to a reasonable degree. Like I said, the possibility of a someday mistake doesn't bother me but if it is indemically flawed that is another story. I still don't by the 13 "Proven innocent" that Terrence claims. Even if he did read it in a news paper. You can rarely prove innocence, although you can often claim lack of evidence to prove guilt.
