nope, never say never but I can't see NOK buying QCOM, because of one small item. Why would all CDMA vendors want to buy from NOK and compete with them too? My reasoning in buying back went like the following. The stock didn't drop like I thought it would on the Brazil news, so I believe a firm bottom has been made in the lower 60's. Also, (the biggie in my mind) NOK, which has been trying design their own chips for so and has largely failed, can't ignore the CDMA market place anymore because how large it is getting and continue to lose market share like they are, we got wind of that recently. Then today NOK enters into an agreement with a Korean firm that has a deal with QCOM for CDMA chips to produce CDMA based phones so NOK can gain back the lost market share. So in sum, a saw a double bottom, so my buy has limited down side, and the current story changed, so I bought looking for a 30 point gain from this level by the end of the year. 30 points would be a around a 45% gain, just off the top of my head, not too bad for a 5 1/2 months investment.
