Yup, that is exactly what I believe.

But there are cases where there is no question, no doubt and where the crime is particularly heinous that I do not oppose the death penalty.

Then you should also believe that the taking of millions of lives by abortion is a holocaust by comparison. As a former supporter of the death penalty, I have no problem with eliminating it endeavoring to save the life of "the one wrongly condemned".
