Cook county justice... Amazing thing about Cook County, victims of the death penalty, while unable to prove their innocence, are still eligible to vote.

<<Just one more time for clarification though; They were "proven innocent" or it was shown that there was a "lack of evidence to establish guilt beyond a shadow of doubt?" >>

"lack of evidence to establish guilt beyond a shadow of doubt?" Nope.

"proven innocent" There you got it. Appeals had run out. Shadow of a doubt didn't apply. They couldn't have done the crime and DNA proved it. Plus the old records. Pardons, not retrials. To understand Cook County law you have to think about Cook County General Hospital. Intensive care has steel walls to protect the patients from being shot.

Now not to say these people weren't guilty of murder, just not guilty of the ones they were charged in.
