Pro or Con, vengence has no place in determining the death penalty unless you believe it is meant for God to take his jugdement on the deceased criminal forthright. In which case that scripture works.

It should never be applied as a way to make us feel better about the crime already committed. Barbarac idea.

Daniel, is that all the scriptures are to you <the ever troublesome New Testament> ? Really? Well for me they are words of life! I would encourage you to read the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

To think that even today some Chinese are risking their careers, possessions, and very lives just to have one page of those sacred writings.
