M. Charles Swope, IPO is for real.Let?s forget for a moment what is going on behind the scene. Here is May press release: home.alcatel.com Here is interview with of Serge Tchuruk,ALA CEO. Based on both document, May CC, * ALA want be be 100% telecom company, * environment for IPO of energy and cable business( except optic cable) is very good, plus improving economy in France and the rest of Europe * it would be foolish to announced such plan without consulting French Government, and serious commitment, b/c it IPO will fail ALA management would loose some credibility * only 25% of ALA employee works in France * some analysts are considering IPO as a done deal SO, IPO is a done deal this year, unless something very serious and unexpected will happen No further comments on this subject.
