Thanks for a great post. My thinking then is to not only watch the regional exchange but also the ARCA and ISLD books in the listed stock. Not sure if i can do that in Realtick or not. I might have to have to use some website or something.

A few days ago I was watching the island book on aol. It is the most active island nyse stock I have seen yet. I think that island was very slow in sending orders to its when the inside bid/ask moved. On about 6 occasions in the last 1/2 hour of that day I was able to simultaneously hit an offer on island of say 1/2, and hit a bid on nyse of 9/16 or 5/8. Also, at times, the offer on island equalled the bid on nyse. This was usually at a time when the stock was getting ready to tick up a little. There would be several thousand size bid at 1/2 on nyse, maybe 200 offered at 1/2 on island. Again, a no brainer, probably 1/16 risk on that trade.

Orders sent to island executed with customary island speed.

There was not a lot of size available. I pay a penny a share so was able to make a few dollars and entertain myself to boot. If you are paying multiple dollars per ticket, there would not have been enough size to cover the commission.

Needless to say, I monitored this on and off for the next couple of days, and did not see it happening again.

This was the only occasion that I have found the island/listed stock combination to be of any use.
