According to the Wyoming Oil and Gas Commission site, Ultra spudded SHB #14-23 on June 22. This was one of the six wells with permits applied for June 12 and approved June 15. The Record of Decision for downspacing Jonah to 40 acres doesn't increase the number of wells (497 -- existing AND new) permitted in the original EIS so something had to give. Approximately half the acreage will have fewer or no wells. So Ultra's 22 new locations are . . . what? . . . serendipitous!?
