I followed the whole 4-1 event

. . . . and I think Jacobs' intentions were good and have been good all along. I admire how he stands stong for his technology and will not give it away.

I think Qualcomm is one of our country's great companies. Don't get me wrong. I am heavily invested in its stock. Unlike many on this thread, my basis is not $5/share, though. I tried to transfer my mutual funds into Qualcomm before the 4-1 split, but serious difficulties closing out the fund caused the vast majority of the proceeds to get into the stock at 390 just before Thanksgiving. What a bummer!

This fiasco has caused my IRA to be 1/3 of the value that it was last January prior to my hearing of Qualcomm. Shifting much of my IRA to leaps in January has made it "vaporware."

Jacobs may not have hyped the stock by design. But he certainly participated in a hype of the stock. A 4-1 split is hype by definition to me. Let's follow RMBS for a couple months. OK?

Q rocks! It's just a matter of time! We all know that!

John
