OTOT <<<Man in the Arena>>
Thanks for the great quotes provided by jjkirk.
Men in the arena, huh. Well there is no doubt that
Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, and Michael are all men in their own arenas, being criticized by people who have not been there. Or have those DOJ lawyers spent years building their own multi-billion dollar corporations or changed and improved the way business is conducted.?
How many of these computer co. analysts could design and build just one good computer, produce a workable OS, or sell $50 mm/day of anything?
Still the noted analysts are men of action and courage in their own chosen field -its merely that their recommendations (covering so many stocks), do not provide the continuity and consistent reminders
needed to buy one (or a few) major stocks and hold thru the uncertain times occurring for every equity.
Their comments do lead to increased volatility, more noted in recent years ( Rmbs?? Qcom??) which we can learn to profit by. (by reading the HOTR thread)G
Men of action in heat of battle......
<<<At the battle of the Argonne Forest in the fall of 1918, as a member of the 82nd division, he killed 25 Germans, knocked out 35 machine guns, and captured 132 prisoners almost single-handed. >>>
