Something I have noticed with 401k holders that are continuing to contribute from salaries is they look at the total asset value and not the returns on previously invested funds. If the account is down 1,2,3,4% they do not get exited. I do not know what it will take for these people to change their allocations from aggressive funds to more conservative funds.

I did run into one person last week that had a bad experience with an investment and is now buying CD's. <g>
