Hi Joan:

Methinks all involved in the MU scene say a little prayer each night for the continued good health of the fund managers at Fidelity and Capital. These two, (plus their nutty friends) buy up millions of dollars worth of this stock every day. Either they have decided to "own it all", or they have become encumbered in a trap of their own making. Dumb. Of course, if their share ownership of Intel is even greater, then perhaps it makes sense to lend Intel a helping hand with respect to this quarter's reported numbers. Personally I think their actions ought to be investigated by the SEC, but I won't hold my breath.

I think these two funds get buried with their MU positions. Not to worry. Someone gets fired, the positions are dumped at fire sale prices by the new arrivals and then the music starts again. (g)

I expect the severity of the expanding memory glut becomes apparent to most sometime this fall. If they haven't started some sort of an unloading program by then, it will be a debacle for them.

Best, Earlie
