>>Of course, it is all speculation but the idea in the RB post, that Ed was forced out after a fight rings truer than that he suddenly decided to start again somewhere else.<< Ray - Absolutely. The founder of the company doesn't suddenly leave following an 80% market cap haircut just because he wants to move on to new challenges. Also, the "I've really enjoyed working with Ed..." part of the official press release is a smoking gun, IMHO. Someone who's staying on says a bunch of nice things about the guy who's leaving, but the latter is not quoted. That's got to be because he was not included in the group who authored the release. Whether Ed was disgusted and decided to pack it in, or was forced out doesn't matter. He's gone, and that will have an impact. Whether it's good or bad remains to be seen, but I am not viewing it as altogether positive, especially because it highlights the company's internal turmoil. >>Question is then this. How good is CTXs's tech and products and can they beat the competition and is the sector hot and growing. What are your thoughts on this?<< I believe that their technology and products are so far above the competition that they might as well be considered a standard. Even if GOJO or some other company had some technical advantages (and I haven't checked them all out, so I don't know) it wouldn't matter, because Citrix has such a commanding lead in the market, and because their suite of products covers a lot more bases than anyone else's. Citrix did originate this entire product category, after all. As for the sector's temperature and growth potential, I'm not the one to ask. I'm a professional nerd, not a market research expert. I think it's hot, based on my own observations and on the fact that more competitors are trying to get in. If I didn't believe that the products were the best of breed in the category, and that the market potential was still there, I'd have sold long ago. But what do I know? I've just lost six figures of paper profits on this stock in the last few months. I'm still well above water because I've been in since 1997, but that's a small comfort. So don't listen to me. ;-) - Allen
