Do Not Underestimate Darkness The financial markets are "managed" by some of the brightest, most motivated, and disciplined people on the planet. Their effort involves the collaboration of individuals in the private sector, governments, and media. It is almost impossible to overstate the extent of the global network. They may eat clowns but they are in no way clowns. Their effort to maintain the status quo is not the moral equivalent of war, it is war. It is probably safe to assume that they view their efforts as patriotic and view those anticipating a break down in the economic order as subversives. It would be a tremendous mistake to underestimate the talent, power, and wealth committed to preventing the inevitable from taking place. Were it not for the fact that they are attempting to control the same force that causes the sun to shine and the earth to spin they probably would prevail. The sun will rise when it does. Our choice is to be awake or asleep. Crashes do not happen because anyone wants them to. They happen because they can not be prevented.
