More like Silicon Great Plains actually ;^)) . The Colorado front range is already a major center of the computer industry. Most of the mass storage business is already up there, and a significant amount of processor design is done there too.

HP does their RISC cores + McKinley in Fort Collins. National does their x86 cores and Sitera and C-Port have network processor design centers in Longmont.

Of course, the mountains are pretty close too....

This name is being seriously considered by Colorado Springs to be its official nickname. Pikes Peak sits overlooking the city and there is a ton of high tech here, including Intel's new flash plant.
