Look carefully at this grid:
symantec.com

I wonder if this gap will hit their bottom line. They deserve it as far as I am concerned.

There is a norton antivirus comaptible product now.

But we wanted to get the whole package Systemworks and that will not be available until the 3rd quarter (or whenever).

Have not encountered ANY probems with win200O and I do take it around the block quite a bit. This is the upgrade for NT. So those who want to keep hacking away with 95 and 98 feel free.

Installing was easy and beautiful. If you have a self-booting CD (which I had) it installs right from the CD.

And no I did a new install. It's highly recommended. Yes I used Norton antivirus but I was so pissed off that they didn't have their shit together that I went to another brand altogether which is working fine, uses fewer resources on top. Furthermore, I think the firewall is far more more important than the virus protection programme. I use zonealarm. Olga

Another problem I have with Symantec is tat manyof their products were/aren't compatible with NT (therefore not with W2K). I think that's a gap in their biz plan, not a problem with MS not coming through with W2K in time. NT has been on market forever and their products should have been NT compatible; now everyone has to go out and buy everything new. Smart biz? Maybe short term but they lost me.

Here is their grid with their incompatible product line. One has to dig deep in order to find it btw:
