You must be looking at an hourly chart to say that the NDX is oversold. I would agree with that. But looking at the daily chart --- 5 day, 8 day or 13 day fast stochastics have not reached what I would call "oversold" as yet. The 130 minute chart just reached oversold on a 13 period basis. We are at "short-term" support levels which I hope will hold. ;>)

I'm looking for a dramatic upswing some time on Monday, but not later than Tuesday afternoon when the FED closes shop... hi jim, thanks for your analysis of which way it will go... i am wondering about the fed meeting and the impact it has on the timing of your prediction... this month as i understand it, there is a two day meeting, and i was thinking that an announcement would happen weds. afternoon, not tues... although i don't know this for a fact... if indeed that is the case and we dont know about rates until weds, does that change the timing of your prediction, ie would you expect the major upswing tues going into weds rather than monday going into tues? thanks, and here is a link to fed meeting dates... kathy :) woodrow.mpls.frb.fed.us
