Suppose you have a letter-paper-size portable document display with a high resolution screen that is easy on the eyes. You download the document and transfer it wirelessly to the reader.

Then you can take the document anywhere as easily as a thick stack of paper, pass it on to others electronically, do all the keyword searching you like, enjoy audio and video features, hyperlinks to other Web sites, etc.

If the screen, battery power and ease of use are there, readers will start to replace paper printouts the way E-mail displaced billions of memos and real "letters" with stamps on an envelope.

Just a thought.

I receive data through my dental fillings. I just type on here for people who lack my abilities to do so.
