So in essence your own words support my contention that there is, in reality, little difference. Both politically bankrupt men are basically heading in pretty much the same direction, albeit one a little faster than the other. While Gore will give us "the death of a thousand cuts," Bush offers us "the death of 750 cuts." What a wonderful alternative! You are mesmerized by the Wizard's smoke and fail to see the really big picture. AlGore the Junior has already detailed plans for spending all the surplus and more - feeding government - rather than returning it to over-taxed Americans. POINT: Both Bush and Gore support the continuation of the IRS. Business as usual in Washington. AlGore the Junior opposes all plans to reform the failed public education system, because the educrats own him. POINT: Both Bush and Gore support a public education system. It should be privatized. AlGore the Junior refuses all efforts to reform Social Security, to allow people to invest some portion of it. POINT: Both Bush and Gore support Social Security. Social Insecurity should be phased out and entirely abolished. AlGore the Junior would follow Clinton's failed foreign policy, using the military not to defend US interests but as world police and a diversion from his domestic scandals. POINT: Bush, following in Reagan's and his father's footsteps, will no doubt do the same. AlGore the Junior would greatly raise taxes with a Dem Congress. Remember, they ran in 1992 on a tax cut and reversed course with a huge lie as soon as they were elected. AlGore the Junior cast the decisive vote for the largest tax increase in US history, just to fuel more of their spending schemes. The balanced budget was something they fought until a GOP Congress forced it on them. POINT: Bush, the Junior, will continue to tolerate the monstrosity that is the IRS because Congress and the Executive branch suckle from this teat like drunken piglets. AlGore the Junior would continue his support of racial quotas, furthering the racial spoils system that the Dem Party created and which is so corrosive to society. POINT: A good portion of Affirmative Action programs were introduced by the Republicans -- specifically Richard M. Nixon. It is up to Congress and the courts to change that, not the President. AlGore the Junior would fully socialize Medicine in this country, creating an inferior and more expensive system for all. POINT: The Republicans have floated various versions of their own socialized medicine scheme. The Republicans also support the socialized MediCare and MedicAid. The Republicans, too, are socialist -federalists. AlGore and his cronies would continue to debase and assault the Justice system. POINT: As would the Republicans, as both parties have been guilty of making strafing runs back to the 1880s.
