Negative growth? I think that is where the US economy is ultimately headed. But I think the Fed has illusions of grandeur as the supreme monetary mechanic which can fine tune the exact level of growth it wants.

A mistake on the Fed's part would bring about unprecedented woe to the perma bulls.
