JC, all the major server companies sell clustered systems. Not only that, but they don't charge much for the cluster kits, rather, they offer them to help sell servers, storage, switches, etc. Does Sun charge significantly more for a clustered system, vs. all the components that make it up?

JC - The full disclosure reports are free, on the web site. for example, the UE10000 report is at tpc.org
All of these vendors sell clustered systems - at least SUNW, IBM, and CPQ do. Half of the top 10 results by performance are clusters.
