Trends definitely shape our society in the long run, but there are invisible reference points that a person's eyes and hands are accustomed to when reading a print version of something, especially when it is a non-fiction material and flipping back and forth is necessary. Scroll bars and up/down arrows cannot duplicate this, at least for me, but I understand you point, and when the Star Trek shit gets here in the coming decades, all bets are of course off - though a print reader may be short lived once we can walk into our voice activated holographic work environments and have simulated 3-D playboy centerfolds read stuff to us <G>
