Navistar and Impath Among Schafer's Stock Picks, Barron's Says New York, June 25 (Bloomberg) -- Navistar International Corp., the world's No. 3 truckmaker, and Impath Inc., a company providing diagnostic services for cancer patients, are among the stock selections of Oscar Schafer, general partner at Cumberland Associates, Barron's reported in its midyear ``Roundtable'' issue. Navistar's diesel engine-business is growing at 20 percent a year while Impath's revenue will increase at 40 percent annually in years to come, Schafer said. He also selected ParkerVision Inc., a developer of wireless technology, because it has a design that may result in the building of smaller and less expensive wireless products, Barron's reported. Navistar last week said the truck industry's North American production could fall as much as 20 percent in fiscal 2001 on higher fuel prices, interest rates and a glut of used trucks.
